Tamron macro focuses on mini-NikonsPre-Photokina 2008: Tamron has announced a revised version of its popular 90mm macro lens with an autofocus motor for Nikon cameras. The move allows the use of this venerable lens design as a telephoto macro with the Nikon D40, D40X and D60 models. Tamron ultra-wide released for Canon and NikonPre-Photokina 2008: Tamron has announced the availability of the SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) lens for Canon and Nikon APS-C DSLRs. This ultra wide-angle lens offers a minimum focus distance of 0.24m throughout its range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5 at 24mm. The lens will be available later this month, initially in Japan. Pentax and Sony versions will follow at an unspecified date. (17:30 GMT)
